A majority of our students have grown up in living environments where they did not have a positive adult role model.

• Nearly 100% of our students are the first in their families to attend college
• 75% live below the poverty line
• 72% come from foster care or are living on their own without a parent
• 40% are or have been homeless
• 35% were abandoned
• 25% are raising siblings
• 20% have physical or learning disabilities

When a student is accepted into our program, he or she becomes part of an extended community-- one that provides a supportive, encouraging, and nurturing environment, and that holds a deep respect for each student's life experience.
