Isidro has gone from testing at a third grade level in English comprehension when he entered Downtown College Prep, to an honor student today. Isidro’s education was interrupted numerous times due to multiple family relocations between the U. S. and Mexico. Upon his return to the U. S. four years ago, he worked every day on a computer program to re-learn English. In addition to his academic success, Isidro and his soccer teammates finished the season second in the Central Coast Section and he is currently playing on his high school basketball team. Isidro wants to honor his parents and be a role model for his younger brother by becoming the first in his family to graduate from college. He was admitted to UC Riverside.
