Le Tran
For Le, the move to the U. S. in 1997 was a big change: from being wealthy and pampered in Vietnam, to sleeping in a basement with his family in the U.S. After his father left the family, Le’s mother had to work night and day to try and support him and his two brothers. Le learned English and became self-sufficient. He is the student body president, and is actively involved in other school activities including speech and debate and the Vietnamese Students Association. Le hopes to explore more of who he is while in college. He is excited about attending Brown University.
