Nate Klemin looks like the all-American high school student - no one would ever guess that he was a hero at home. A child of divorced parents, his mom was diagnosed with breast cancer two years ago. Nate took care of his mom while she was sick, especially right after surgery. Money was running low so he got a job to help with the finances.

He remained an honor student and found salvation through basketball. He now looks forward to going to Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.
