Vincent Alvarez

Vincent grew up in a family that struggled to pay the bills. At one point, Vincent, his mom, and his four siblings were left homeless when his dad abandoned them. They lived in a shelter in Petaluma, and his mom worked at a chicken factory to make ends meet. These financial difficulties motivated Vincent to be a good student and an outstanding member of his school football team. He believes that going to college will benefit him emotionally and financially, and he hopes to be a role model to other Latinos in his community. Vincent will attend USC.
